Fishing Report 2/16/08 Lake Guntersville

The week has been up and down, the fish bite in the sunny warm days; and was hard to find in the overcast or rain. Most of the week the fish we caught were in the mid part of the day as the afternoon proved to be most productive time.

We caught fish most of the week on rattle baits and Punisher Spinner baits fishing up river above Goose Pond. The productive areas were in 3 to 6 feet of water and if you found some green grass it really helped the bite.

The biggest fish caught this week was about 6.5 lbs. and the days we averaged somewhere around 12 fish a day, the bad days were tough, but its getting close and should be better every day as we get into spring.

Find the green grass and you will find the bass, work your rattle bait slowly dropping and stopping it and you will catch fish.
