On a recent trip to Uvas Dam, i found some pretty good success fishing jerk baits in the shallow flat areas at Uvas Dam. I used a floating jerk bait on an overcast day, a little wind , but the direction of the wind is the key. I landed 4 keepers, 10 fish total and i had a few big bass attack my bait, jump out of the water but unfortunately completely missed my bait. I had at least a 4 pound bass attack my floating jerk-bait 4 times, all 4 times the bass was totally out of the water.
