Uvas Dam is located near Morgan Hill, CA and is just south of Chesbro Dam and Calero Reservoir. The bass fishing at Uvas has always been, kind of hit and miss. If your not in the right spot you will never catch a fish. And when you are in the right spot, you may only get bit once or twice, but the key is, the bites are usually big. 2 years ago I caught a 9 pounder right off the dam, this year on topwater I have caught several 3 plus bass, a couple 4 pounders and last time I was out I caught a 5 plus, all on topwater. I can only think of one fish I have caught in the last 10 days that was under 2 pounds, all on topwater. Try using buzz baits and topwater poppers, find shallow water and then your gonna get bit. Good luck and take a kid fishing.
