Hello anglers and welcome to our fishing report!
Many might think that November means the end of our great fishing season, but its actually quite a magical month! November on the famous Harrison river is well known by local guides and anglers as having stellar fishing for Chum salmon, while Sturgeon fishing is excellent on the Fraser river just a few minutes away. The Chums of November are brighter and more aggressive than those of October. Bars of chrome are common here.
This late run of Chums come in plentiful and bold! Besides the fishing you will be surrounded by Bald Eagles beyond belief, the Harrison is world famous for its Bald Eagle congregation that feeds on thousands of salmon carcasses.
Other good fishing options are fly fishing for Bull trout right up until Xmas. Bull trout are very active right now and are feeding heavily on salmon eggs and flesh.
Just around the corner: Mid December is the start of Steelhead season and this great fishery lasts until early May.
If you are wanting to book a BC fishing holiday for Salmon or Sturgeon in 2013 we are already booking prime dates for the massive Pink Salmon run(late August to October 1st). Pinks return in the tens of millions and are easy to catch. We offer fully guided fly fishing or light tackle trips on the Fraser river for Pinks salmon and its also a hot time for Sturgeon too.
