The walleye fishing conditions are hot. The walleye being caught are nice -- 18 to 22 inches. June has been very strong with the exception of a couple slow days during the mayflie hatch. We have been taking limits primarily trolling Luhr Jensen 40 jets followed by spoons. We are currently fishing North of West Sister Island on about the 50 line for those of you who know what that means. Deeper leads are taking the majority of our keeper fish. Today we took a boat limit of 36 and were back at the dock around 1:30pm. Our 30' boat also limited drifting crawler harnesses. The water temperature is 69 degrees farenheit. The best time of the day to catch fish is sun-up to 9:00am and late afternoon, 3pm to sunset. The fish are generally being caught at The Triangle. The fish are being caught in water depths of 20 to 30 ft. The water clarity is stained. The most effective lures being used are spoons -- small hot pink.
