Fishing report for the week ending 1/24/2010 We are finnally rebounding from last weeks crazy cold temperatures, the water cracked 60 degrees which while still being cool has seatrout making there way back into areas they were in prior to the cold snap. There have been some decent trout up to 18 inches in deeper potholes up on the flats, I have not seen some of the 3 and 4 lb fish that we saw around the 1st of the year but they should show up shortly. The best bets are jerkbaits ( white) presented slowly on the bottom or a live shrimp either on a poping cork or freelined. The wildlife sanctuaries have been producing decent numbers of small redfish, deeper holes will hold them. A shrimp live or dead with a splitshot on the bottom works best. Tight lines, the weather will be warmer this week get out and fish!

I will be giving a fishing seminar next week for the Gulf Harbour fishing club, if you know any groups that would be interested I would be glad to come and speak with them.
