Huli Cat went rockfishing today and had the California Recreational Fisheries Survey (CRFS) sampler aboard today. In addition, there were three generations of Dill's on board. It is really special to to take that span of famly out and see them have a great time and catch fish. The Tunitas/San Gregorio area worked well, 120-147 ft. We were able to descend all the nonretainalbe fish we caught, canaries (36) and a juvenile yelloweye (1).
After days of rough water, this was a delight to be out fising in. Land temps were blazing elsewhere, it was 52 F when we started and in the high 50's when we finished.
