Well the fishing this week has been GOOD if you were in the right place. The wind was not our friend as a good friend of mine once told me it was. It blew and blew. The water temp has held in the mid 50's and this has gotten the males scattered in the shallow water. The females are starting to roam as the full moon approaches this weekend. The biggest problem is the air temp is going to take a nose dive and this will hold the fish off for a couple of days. The red lipless crank bait has been the best bait to have tied on right now. This will hold true for the weekend. Chartreuse and white spinner baits in willow leaf with gold and silver blades has been great on points and around windy timbered banks. My jig bite has been slower than the previous weeks. If the weather will warm up quick this next week the males will have some nest ready for their mates to get into. Look for Glade creek to explode soon as the water should warm and the fish will be all over the flats there.

Once the water gets back up to the upper fifties and low sixties the slower baits like wacky worms, Lake fork Tackle Ring Fries, Zig Zag's, Wave Worm Tiki sticks will be the magic baits to have tied on.

I wish all a great spring season.

I have decided to hang up my Guide Shield. I will no longer be writing the weekly fishing report. I have had some medical issues arise and this is in my best interest. I have enjoyed writing for all who were interested in reading my reports and articles.

I want to thank all my customers and those who wrote in questions about fishing I hope that I was instrumental in helping you catch more fish. Now I wish all a Tight Line and a Good Fair Well!
