Belton Lake
Lake level this week has dropped a little and is now 2.89 feet low. Water is stained for most of the lake with temperatures in the 88 to 90 degree range. Largemouths are being caught early in the mornings and late in the evenings on top water plugs and buzzbaits. Spinnerbaits, (white in color) and natural colored crankbaits are the bait of choice closer to the noon time and on soft plastics in the evenings. The early mornings and late in the evenings are producing the greater numbers, with fish ranging mostly in the 2 to 3 pound range.
