Central Florida
water temperature 71 deg.
What a difference a year makes, last year at this time we were catching 30-40 pre pawn healthy looking fish every day. Fished three different chain of lakes, Butler Chain, Kissimmee Chain and Conway Chain in the last two weeks the best we did was about 15-18 fish. Most of the fish being caught are males 2-3 lbs. Took Brian Duvall and his son Kegan from Cincinnati Ohio out yesterday it was very slow but he caught a 8lb. largemouth bass that made his day. We are doing both artificial and shiner trips because we can't find any concentration of fish with shiners. Junebug worms and watermelon sead red flukes seem to be doing the best in most lakes. You have to fish hard to do well each day is different. When the water temperature drops down and begins to rise again I believe we will see fish start to spawn. It could be into February or even March full moons before you see a large amount of fish on the beds.
Great Fishing!
