I got out L.W. inlet at 9:00am and started trolling at the one mile marker five minutes later two fish on. Ho I failed to tell you that I was alone and it was my 51st birthday. Any way I got the first two dolphin in the boat 8-10lb.
I was using double hook ballys with red seawicth and blue skirts Irigged up two more and wasn't long I had two more the same size.By the time Ihad five fish in the boat I was at Lost Treeand out in 100' of water. I pointed the bow east and got out to 350' at 11:30 trolled threw a skinny weed line. The bigger ones hit a lot harder port side first the fish ripped off a little line and started swimming with the boat.I figured another schooly Ilooked at the other outrigger and it goes off. This one is a big 50lb bull I could see it jupping and going the other way and I couldn't slow it down for a three run. So I tighten the drag up and started on the what I thought was a ten lb'er turned out to be a 6' 65lb cow .when I started puting some pressure on this fish it went ballistic on me it started with a tail danceright next to the boat it almost jumped right in.
25 minutes later I hade it up to the boat by this time the bull had my 6.0 almost spooled so I decided to release this beautiful bright green and yellow fish. All the females have eggs right now and we all must release some fish if we want our children and grandchildren to have this much fun in the future.Back to the action the bull had 1200 yds of my power pro and I wanted it back on the reel and boat this bull.30 min.later I had it in the reach of my gaff and it seen me and ripped off 300' stright down it was 15 min. later it was in the boat and weight in at 51lbs what a day. Got some nice pictures
