Honolulu - Saltwater Fishing Report

This past week was as tough as it gets for bonefishing around Oahu. the combination of 20-30 knot wind and negative low tides thoughout much of the day lead to cancellations and nearly impossible conditions. I am a strict sight fishing guide and always give clients the option to cancel if things seem impossible. Many of my anglers flyfish and last week was just not right for even seasoned anglers. I hope to have more to report next week as tides improve. Wind is tolerable but lack of water leaves flats dry with no chance for bonefish sightings. This is the time of year to expect poor conditions but as spring sets in things will improve and future tides look very nice. Always contact your guide and ask about best tides if you have a window and only plan on doing one or two days. Hopefully i will have more to report next week!

Honolulu Fishing Forecast:

Wind is expect to back off by midweek and i plan on getting out and giving it a go. we are finally coming out of our winter very low tide lock and conditions will be much better through the rest of summer.
