I had the pleasure to guide a very nice young man named Aaron on his first ever flats fishing trip this past Wednesday. It was his 22nd birthday and he bought himself the charter for a gift to himself.I informed him the day before of the very windy forcast for the charter day, but it was the only day he could go this week. So we gave it a try. With the high winds we did not try to sight fish, but I went to a spot to fish where I had found a nice bunch of Reds the day before on a scouting trip. We used freelined live finger mullet so the bait would stay above the grass on the bottom and the Redfish and Trout wre very cooperative. Aaron caught 5 Reds up to 30 inches (in the picture below) the others all being from 23" to 26", also landed 2 nice trout 18" to 20".
