This week on Lake Guntersville was generally tough, it's almost like we are in a summer pattern already. The sunny calm days are tough and the windy or rainy days were great. My best day on the lake this week was without a doubt on the windy and rainy days, the rain produced fish and lots of them and the wind produced good 3 and 4 pound in good numbers. Sunday though produced a monster just the numbers were not there. It's not pictured as I caught it not my client.
Most of the week I was on a good spinner bait bite (Punishers Flame Spinner Bait) in red pepper and chartreuse ¾ oz. as well as there June Bug ¾ oz. with a chartreuse trailer, and a jig (Tight-Line) black and blue ½ oz with a blue trailer. We did manage some fish Sunday on soft plastics and the big monster fish was caught on a big worm.
All in all it was a successful week I saw a lot of smiles, we caught good numbers of fish and most my clients went home happy and pleased with their day on the water.
Due to some schedule changes I have the 29th, the afternoon of the 30th and the 31st of this month open; as well as several days in June. Please call to reserve any days. My new "Fishing Tip of the Week" is now up on my web site www.fishlakeguntersvilleguideservice.com
