Boqueron Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tarpon action are hot in Boqueron Bay Cabo Rojo Puerto Rico.My last trip was incredible we go on fly with mr. Curt and hook up 5 tarpon and release 3 tarpon in 4 hours trip.

October come with light winds and schools of sardine and the big tarpon gones wild have the bay fish in a frenzy. Recently during the calmer days and in the mornings big tarpon can be seen from a distance crashing into baitfish schools. These are the days that make fishing here in Boqueron Bay a dream came true. Picture yourself standing in a Flat Boat early in the morning. Things are quiet, people are just starting their days and out of no where a frantic school of sardine are leaping over each other trying to escape the eager hungry mouth of a large tarpon, snook, ladyfish, snapper or barracuda. Large fish have pinned a frantic helpless sardine against a sea wall and are making loud popping sounds as they try and inhale the tired sardine. a quick cast of a sardine in the direction of the last explosion and a huge opening opens up where your tasty offering landed. Your line comes tight the reels drag starts to scream and no you are not dreaming you really are hooked up to a good fish.

Thats what is happening right now in Boqueron Bay and you could be on the right side of the line if you get out on the water while the fish are here.
