SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: If we are fortunate enough to just get some rain and clouds from the approaching storm and miss the rough stuff, fishing could go 'off the chart' for 2 or 3 days. It goes without saying that good judgment should be used regarding safety but the barometric pressure changes and cloud cover could provide outstanding fishing conditions. Lets hope and pray that catching fish is all we will have to worry about.
CRAPPIE/YELLOW BASS: Anglers are catching a few crappie just off the deep grass lines with live shiners. Best results are at daylight. Yellow bass are still being caught under schooling largemouth with silver/black quarter ounce Frenzy Rattl'rs/Rat-L-Traps, jigging spoons and tailspinners. We even caught some white bass this week in the Texas/Louisiana Island area.
