You name it we caught it Saturday June the 7th as far as inshore goes….
Fishing with John Smith from Maitland Florida Saturday it was a perfect morning. Not only was the weather great but with only one person I was invited to fish along and I usually take advantage of that opportunity because it doesn't come along very often.
I didn't fish the whole time but did manage to boat one nice Trout….
We float fished live shrimp in several spots in the river catching nice Jacks some nice Trout a nice Sheepshead and some Mango Snapper…
When the float fishing slowed down we moved to the shallow water to chase some Redfish around…
Sight fishing the Reds can very fun when they are eating but frustrating when they want take a look at anything you throw them.
After a little while of that I decided to sit on a school of Reds and soak some crabs. That was what they wanted. In less than an hour we caught 6 nice Reds from 4 to close to 7 lbs and also had 3 fish break us off on the shell mounds.
It was a great 4 hr trip. We left the dock at 6:30 and were back at 10:30 with some big smiles and nice fish in the box.
Thanks for a great time John.
