We left the dock at 5:00 a.m. this morning to a beautiful sunrise. Today's charter was the George Omnembo party from New Jersey. The day started great with some nice market sized cod caught on fresh sea clams caught the day before. Later in the morning, the fishing slowed down so we decided to move into the deeper water off Stellwagen for some big haddock. While picking through the cod and haddock, a couple wolfish were a delight to the days catch. The seas were flat calm and the guys enjoyed some great spring weather. The afternoon bite in the deeper water was great. Cod, one after another, came over the rails. At 23 knots, the Ocean Runner enjoyed a wonderful ride back to Green Harbor with all the guys going home with great tasting fillets. These guys were a lot of fun to fish with and we will be seeing them again.
