Tampa, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report
Lower Tampa Bay

Fishing Report this past week. Well its been a little slow but I managed to fish a few days this week. The Makerel and Trout have been on fire, we have beeen catching some up to eight pounds. The little white bait has been working a better for both the trout and makeral. I have ben catching them in the six to eight foot range aroung Ft Desoto area. Tarpon are thick inside the bay but I haven’t targeted them much this week. Most fish that I have seen have been in the 50 to 100 pound range. The snook bite has been if at best, but the fish I have caught have been 30inches and up most have been caught around Ft Desoto as well. You have to have big baits to get them to eat. The little stuff for me at least just wont work. I try to start leaving fishing reports once a week.
