We had a blast using spinning rods to catch amberjacks and grouper. Unfortunately, the season for grouper was the day after our trip..It was fun, though.

Last few trips have made for dew drinching foggy adventures. Light swells and 1/4 mile visibility combined with the hum of twin diesels can put you to sleep for 25 miles until the last mile clicks off the GPS and you begin to reminisce of past trips and chaos in the cockpit.

Great time of year for catching multiple species. Redfish inshore as well as snook. Large spanish mackerel, king mackerel and sharks off the beaches. Some tarpon around too. Plenty of bait available for all.

Fishing at night has been the ticket. With day time temps over 90 degrees and humid, it's much more comfortable to fish early morning, late afternoon and after dark. The fish like it too.
