The moment most fisherman have been waiting for shall resume on April 1st. It has been a long cold Winter and Cod Fishing on Stellwagon Bank off the Massachusetts Coastline should be spectacular. I fished a couple of weeks ago well South of the Bank and found there to be an abundance of Codfish. Many fish were in the 7 - 15lb range with fish weighing in up to 40lbs. There were many other species of fish caught as well: Wolffish, Haddock, Pollock and Cusk. This is "Great" news. It is showing that the Cod stocks are strong and getting stronger all the time. The Cod fishing has been spectacular and runs year round. The other thing to keep in mind is the run time to the bank. Codfish are in closer giving the anglers more fish time to load their coolers.
