In and out of the rain we kept busy catching our fair share of large Bonito and Kingfish but we kept misssing out on the Sailfish bite. We also caught 5 Mahi-Mahi under ten pounds. They were almost too easy. We saw 2 Sailfish window shopping and they did just that. The end of this week the weather cleared up and was beautiful on the water and we enjoyed calm seas. On Saturday, the first ten minutes of setting out our bait spread we had a double header Sailfish bite! Ted and Howie from New Jersey did a great job getting them to the boat. Howie's fish peeled almost 200 yards off the spool and still his fish came first to the boat. Ted's fish was stubborn as he stayed close to the boat but wouldn't budge. We took a quick picture with both then released them back into the water as they swam away strong. All of our fish this week have been on Pilchards, some days we fished with large ones and other days they were smaller but we still ahd success. The month of March is getting booked quickly and my favorite month of April is getting a few reservations too. Have a great day and I hope to hear from you soon!

See you on the rip,

Captain Cary Hanna
