112 Reds today!!!!!
Well the fishing is still crazy over here in Hopedale. Today was the second day that Rick and Chris fished with us, the only difference was that Albert showed up from Dallas. Today they wanted to fish for some Black Drum first then the reds. We headed over to Delacroix to fish down by Lake Campo in search of Drum, but low and behold guess what????
REDFISH, REDFISH, REDFISH!!!
These guys caught redfish until they had blisters on their hands, NO LIE!!
Albert had never fished, NEVER, I had to throw for him all day but heck he was slamming them like crazy. He could not believe how many fish are in our waters. We had their limit in 25min then we sat, Caught and Released 97 more redfish. Today they were in all sizes from 22inchs to 34inches. All caught on dead shrimp on the bottom in about 3 feet of water. We fished a small opening that had falling water coming out and this is normally a good black drum hole but the reds have invaded the spot.
They checked out of the lodge these evening and are headed back to Florida and Dallas.
We have openings this week coming and if you like to go catching call us ASAP!!!!
Look for the video on my website sometime this evening......
