A ton of fun and a ton of fish Friday on the Beach. On board for the day was Mark Boykin, Corey Tohme, Mike and Richard Jones. We started off with a stop by Campo's to fill the livewell with their famous live shrimp. The conditions were great and the water was clean around Hopedale Lagoon where we started out. Fishing with live shrimp under a cork the guys put some Trout in the boat with plenty throwbacks mixed in, but this bite did not last long. We made a few moves with not much to show for till we fished this one point that had some Reds and Bass on it. The guys picked up some nice Reds with from here along with 5 fat Bass we kept and few small ones that were released. We next hit a couple of more spots close by looking for more Trout. We moved on into a deep bayou and fishing with a Carolina rig with a light weight the guys were catching some good Trout, but still plenty little ones mixed in. There were plenty of Trout in there if you could keep the bait away from the monster Sheepshead. Poles bent and drags screaming the guys had a blast loading the fish box with a lot of fish headed for the Crisco. Total catch for the day was 65 Trout, 14 Reds, 50 Sheepshead, 4 Drum, and 5 Bass. Fun day on the water with a great bunch of guys.
