Offshore Fishing Report – Durban 03-02-2019
Sunday was one of those days that the forecast showed bad weather but in reality conditions were quite good. Then as we had packed up in the afternoon we had some people want to go fishing on short notice and so we obliged them and reset the boat and took them out for a late afternoon fishing session, there was not even enough time for a half day trip so it was short and sweet and we managed 1 Dorado (Mahi) which delighted this family.
Often unplanned trips on short notice work out well which reminds me of a trip last year under similar circumstances and we hooked into a Marlin within an hour from launch and back on the dock 3hrs from when we launched. So if conditions are good and you feel like going, just get on with it and go, you just might be surprised.
