Full Moon Fishing...
This week started out a little slow after another cold front passed through the area late last week, but as we went through the week and temperatures rebounded the fishing did as well. The bait has not moved from previous reports and is plentiful at all the piers in Tampa Bay. This week we managed to get some nice Trout in waters up to 6 ft near the deeper grass edges. While Trout fishing this week we also picked up Flounder and Mackerel in some of the areas that the Trout were hanging around. The Snook bite is still on fire with most trips catching all the fish they want. Most of the Snook we are catching are in the 2 ft of water range, on the large grass flats. Look for the large sand areas or holes and there will most likely be Snook sitting in them. We managed to catch a good amount of Redfish this week on the top end of the tide and the first part of the outgoing. We are catching the Redfish right along the mangrove trees using live Pilchards. The largest Redfish this week was 30" and it put up a monster fight.
