Windy end to the Week...
This week we have saw some really good fishing. The start week brought beautiful weather and calm seas. The end of the week brought 20 knot winds out of the North West with gust around 30 knots. We were still able to get out on the windy days, we just had to find some protected areas around the east side of Anna Maria Island to shelter us from the wind. Early in the week the Redfish bite was strong. On most days we were catching around 15 Redfish (See Video). The Snook bite really pick up with the wind towards the end of the week. On Saturday and Sunday I took out Ray and Jeff from the DC area and we caught well over 75+ Snook on the two days (See Video). Sunday was the best Snook fishing I've seen since the spring, with around 50 Snook being caught by Ray and Jeff. Most of the Snook were around the 25" mark. Over the two days we manged to catch two keeper Snook with the largest being 32".
