March had strong Easterly winds, which held the water out of Tampa Bay. Trout showed up in great numbers at the mouth of Tampa Bay, with catches upwards of 200 fish per day. Mike Donahue fishing with his dad had good success with reds. Dr. Rich Hock and Rick Cagno along with Brian Bergin had a 200 trout day using jigs with twister tails. The next day Bill and Ginger Ryals and a couple of friends, from Indiana had the same type of except the end of the day was toped off with 20 nice reds. Doctors Tom Jeneary and Greg Jeneary fishing a halfday caught and released 45 reds using shrimp. Jim Auman from Colorado had a great day with a fly rod, working a school of big reds with about 1000 in it and catching 10.
Things are only going to pick up in April. King fishing on the is better than ever. Tarpon are showing up at the Skyway Bridge. Mackerel at the bridge in large numbers, Snook coming out of their hiding places. Get ready for a great month. Tight Lines Capt Dan
