Three time winner of the MET fishing tournament fly division for mackerel, trout , mutton snapper. Two time IGFA world record holder for tarpon on fly(8 LB.and 12 LB.), also guided Dr. Clyde Balch to new IGFA world record for tarpon on fly (12 LB.) Guided wife to winning Hillsborough Tarpon Tournament for largest tarpon ladies division , overall tournament champion , most releases and combined weight champion and IGFA world record speckled trout on 6 LB. [Tampa,FL] Tampa Bay tarpon fishing is in full swing. Water temps have finally come up and the tarpon are on the beach.
[Tampa,FL] Tampa Bay trout make a come back after red tide.More and more trout are showing up on the flats and on the beach.
[Tampa,FL] March had Strong Easterly wind the whole month. Things are only going to pick up in April. King fishing on the is better than ever. Tarpon are showing up at the Skyway Bridge. Mackerel at the bridge in large numbers, Snook coming out of their hiding places.

[Tampa,FL] Reds and Trout this the weather is spring time. Spring time weather moved in and the flats came alive. Red fish have started to bunch up for the spring spawn with the warm water temps, trout can be found in the deeper edges of the flat and pot holes.
[Tampa,FL] The area around Tampa,St. Pete and Clearwater are filled with place to fish, with or without a boat.
[Tampa,FL] With our warm winter waters thing are acting like spring time. November in the Tampa Bay area sets the stage for some of the best fly and bait fishing of the year on the West coast. The water starts to cool and the tides start to get lower.
[Tampa,FL] Most people don't think of the West Coast of Florida as having large trout,but 8 to 12 pound trout are not uncomon.
