As good as it gets on the Beach today. Steven Spears and his son Patrick joined me for a little fishing fun and fun we all had. I was worried about the wind forecast and that it was blowing pretty good when I left the house this morning. Once we picked up some live bait from Campo's we were off. To my surprise the wind was not bad and once we got to the end of the MRGO there was just a little chop, nothing bad and the wind dropped as we headed further out into the Sound. Made one stop at a wellhead and picked up 5 nice Trout, but it was too slow so off we went. Next stop was all it took. Just drop a shrimp or croaker to the bottom and a big Trout was on before you could flip the bail. Patrick was pulling in fish so fast I could hardly keep up with the net. By 9:15 there were 75 nice 2-4 pound Trout on ice. We made a stop at a well on the way in to try for a couple Reds. We boated one Red, lost a few others, and also added 7 Sheepshead to the mix.
