Back for seconds on the Beach. Duke Wichers and his wife had a great time fishing with me Sunday. Duke just had to come back for more Monday and he brought his friend David with him. We headed on down a flat calm MRGO and to the Sound we went. We fished the same area as the day before with similar results. The bite was not quite as fast, but the Trout were a little bigger on average. Once again the Hybrid Flurry 3' under a cork was the bait of the day, but several good fish fell for the LSU Bayou Chub also. After we finished off our Trout limits we made a move and got on an as fast as you could cast Sheepshead bite. With no more room left in the fish box we headed on in. Another great day of fishing and the guys had a blast. Total for the day was 75 Trout, 2 Reds, 25 Sheepshead, and 1 Drum.
The Trout have turned on and the fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding. Campo's is open with fuel, bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters, dates are filling fast. 504-439-2680.
