Big fun and big Trout Saturday at the Beach. Drew Frank and his girlfriend Connie came down for a day on the water. Armed with live shrimp, on went the radar and into the foggy Sound we went. Our first stop yielded only 1 Trout, a Shark, and a UFO. Got to our second stop and started to put some fish in the boat. There were some good Trout there, but the Drum and Sheepshead were eating up. With the Trout not coming in fast enough a made a cast out away from where they usually are on this rig, and bam, Trout on. Told Drew and Connie to cast the other direction and it was on. By the time our limits were filled I had to stand on the fish box to close the lid. It was a pretty day and a fun time fishing with Drew again. Total for the day was 75 Trout (2-4 pounds), 8 Drum, 1 Red, 12 Sheepshead, and 2 Flounder.
The Trout are on and the fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding. Campo's is open with fuel, bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters, dates are filling fast. Very nice over night accommodations are avalible. 504-439-1680.
