Big Trout and big fun on the Beach. Tuesday I had Phil Gachassin bring his dad and son down to the Beach for some fishing fun. The conditions were very nice, but our first stop produced more sand fly bites than Trout bites. We made a move closer to the MRGO and got on a short lived bite that put 40 pretty Trout on ice. One more move and that was all it took. We headed over to where Capt. Markham was close to finishing up and got set up on the other side of the rig from them and it was on. The Trout were big and mad at the hooks we put in their mouths. The wind picked up a little and bite slowed, but not before we filled the box. It was a fun day and the guys headed back to Lafayette loaded down with fillets. 100 Trout, 1 Red, 1 Drum, and 6 Heads.
The Trout bite is hot and will only get hotter, don't miss out, call today. Don't miss out on some of the best fishing of the year. Campo's is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters. Very nice overnight accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.
