This has been one of the wildest winter weather years in a long time but, with the beautiful blue bird skies the last few days in Orange Beach it has given me a case of cabin fever something fierce. We have been fishing when the weather will allow and the offshore bite has been good. The most fun has been with the light tackle Blackfin fishing. However, the highlight of this spring has been the Amberjacks on the longer trips. It is no secret that the spring months between February to May is when we normally catch a most of the really big Amberjacks over the course of the year.
On the shorter trips, we have done really well with Vermillion Snapper, White Snapper, and a few Triggers. It has been fast paced action for the last two weeks and it will continue to produce throughout the spring. You will catch something just about every drop; some we can keep and some we can't but, it will be a fun for all!
Over the last few weeks, we have gotten a lot of phone calls and e-mails for trips around Spring break so, if you would like to go while you are in town then, now is the time to call. We are fishing and looking to fishing with you this year.
