Bio: I have two passions in life, to live a life acceptable to God and fish. Growing up on the Grand River in Grand Ledge, MI, I fished every day I could and never quit fishing and will always fish as long as I am physically able to do so. Over the years I have fished most of the small lakes of Michigan for pan fish and Walleyes, and for the past 40 years have fish the major Great Lakes in summer and the small inland lakes in winter. I retired from the automobile business in 2000 and have been chartering for the past seven year. While I spend most of my time on Lake Michigan, my fishing passion is Walleye fishing. So as the Salmon and Steelhead fishing cools down in June on Lake Michigan, I fish Lake Erie for Walleyes during that time. For years I have fished out of a 3100 Tiara and have taken 4-6 person charters from April-September. It has always been hard for me to charge the full price of a charter when there was less than 4 people on the boat. However, with the expense of the Tiara I had no choice. So I have I sold the Tiara and purchased the Fishawk II, a 2350 Pursuit. By lowering my expense I can offer the same comfort, safety, and service at a much lower price. In addition I can now trailer my boat and not be restricted to one port, where my boat is slipped, rather the fish are biting in that area or not.
[Lake Michigan,MI] It has been hard for me to adjust to the Lake Michigan fishing after spending most of the month of June catching Lake Erie's non-stop, fantastic Walleye. However I have been back now for two weeks and have slowed down to meet the slower pace Lake Michigan fishing, and waiting for the bigger Kings to get here.
