Portland ME Fishing Season OVer (10/09/2006)
[Casco Bay,ME] finished up season ending striper charters this past weekend. Water is cold and fish are on the move south. I want to thank all who made the season a great success. Striper fishing was pretty steady June through the end of Sept., although we did not see the numbers of big fish we usually do that seemed the story up and down throughout New England.
Fall striper run....and tuna run!! (9/22/2006)
[Casco Bay,ME] To start- not a huge typical fall blitz type fishing for bass as we the bait inshore seems to be localized to small areas. The upper inner bays have some peanut bunker and have had some fantastic surface feeds but most seem to be smaller schoolie size stripers with a few bigger slot sized mixed in, also over the past few days bluefish have moved in as well.
