Redfish, Redfishing has been steady (12/05/2006)
[Pine Island Sound,FL] Redfish, Redfishing has been steady. I've been doing best on tides that have good current. Shrimp, shiners & cut bait has been working the best for me. The schools can be from ten to fifty. Fishing reds on the flats can be a casters' dream. On the lower tides, they become very visible with their tails sticking up in the air. Fishing for tailing reds is great fun!

Pine Island Snook Fishing (8/21/2006)

The water temperatures are in the 80's and the snook are on the bite! The white bait is everywhere and with the warmer temperatures and that means great snook fishing. Most of the snook are still in and near the passes and beaches.
