This has been one of the worst winters in long time for a lot of people. However, fishing season is right around the corner with the promise of blue skies and calm seas ahead.
With all of the new fishery regulations that are coming down we are being forced into new directions. With fuel and the economy being a concern, I have made giant strides to keep the prices as low and the service to the high level that you have come to enjoy from us. We have plenty of good dates still open for the spring. If you are looking to go fishing by yourself or with just a small group and want to try something new, the consider Cobia fishing.
Cobia fishing is not something new to us but we were always chasing bottom fish in the early spring and never really had the time. Cobias are big formidable fighters that will fight to the death. A keeper fish has to be 33 inches and the average fish going between 30 and 50 pounds; not a bad match for 20 pound spinning tackle!
Cobia will make its annual migration from East to West during the months of March to May. This is a unique fishery that requires a lot of team work from the crew and the customers alike. I will generally spot them from the tower then I will move the boat around to try and get you a shot with a live bait. With any luck the fight will be on! If you like Deer hunting or just the lure of the fishing for big fish on light tackle of fly rod, then you will enjoy this!
