Good fishing yesterday both on the inside and the outside. Headed out toward Breton Sound yesteday AM and noticed shrimp jumping off a point in a lake. Stopped to check it out and my guests got into a good trout bite. We were throwing plastics and live shrimp to hungry trout. These fish were 13-15" with a few undersized throwbacks. The bite slowed and we headed out again toward the Sound. Easy boat ride with no wind to speak of. Hit the first rig to find big hungry sow trout up to 3.5 lbs. These fish wanted live shrimp carolina rigged and artificial cocahoes slow rolled. The fish were off the rig well over a cast legnth. Repositioned the boat slightly and got them coming to the net quick. A storm brewed up to the NW and the wind started blowing from the East and it got rough quick. Decided to leave the fish biting and head back to the boat slip with as good box of fish. The fishing action is outstanding whether you are looking for inside action or outside action. That is one of the things I love about fishing Delacroix! The weekend looks like significant chance of rain and diminishing tidal ranges. Not the best conditions for fishing. Good luck out there this weekend!
