Well, another season is in the books and it was a good one to say the least. Everyone here at Serengeti Fishing Charters will agree that it was the best year we've had. Not only did our guests have loads of fun, they also caught loads of salmon and halibut. They truly were great to have out with us. Sorry for the huge gap in between newsletters, but it has been some busy months of August and September and a lot of fish were caught. Every group that came with us this year caught an abundance of halibut, as well as a variety of other bottom fish, spring (King) salmon, coho (silvers), and lots of fresh crab. Highlights of the year included John Labatt's monster 51 lb King salmon, Jean Lutewyler's 45 lb King salmon, Andy Stoebner's 46 lb King salmon, the amazing day with Dave Reardon's group where we were into 21 Spring (King) salmon, and all the laughter that came from our boats this year with guests who truly became friends!!! Two of our guests, Chase Adams and Bruce Dirom, decided to let two monsters go (50+lb and 60+lb fish respectively). Well....that is the story they gave us anyways! Once again this year we will be at the ISE Sportsman's show in Salt Lake City in March, so those of you that will be attending that, be sure to look us up. Once we find out our booth number, we will be sure to email you all and let you know. After the show, we will almost definitely be fully booked, so if you plan on coming this summer, which I hope you are, then get a hold of us ASAP for prime dates, especially considering this upcoming summer is expected to be the return of all the 6 and 7 year old fish, that means loads of fish over 40lbs!! For the upcoming year we are looking to add another Pursuit to our fleet. So no matter when you come, you will always be fishing in luxury with the safest fishing charter boats on the West Coast.
