Father and son fun on the Beach today. Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Tim Fitzpatrick, his sons Jake and Kyle, and his father in law Dick. We were greeted by a stiff SE wind this morning as we pulled out of Campo's with a well full of their world famous live shrimp. With the wind blowing pretty good and rain showers building we stayed close in Bay Eloi. On our second rig the guys got on a good bite and were putting Trout in the boat at a good pace. The Trout were on the small side, but with the conditions and not a lot of throw backs no way was I going to leave. But leave we did, the rain was coming on us so we headed in a clear direction and got behind the storm were we continued fishing till the box was full and there was a break in the storms. We managed to stay dry for the most part till we got back in. Total catch for the day was 100 Trout, 30 Channel Mullets, and 1 Flounder. They did a great job of fishing today in some not so good conditions, and a pleasure to be with.
The legend continues. Blackie Campo's is open with live bait, ice, fuel, and 2 back down ramps. Come on down and see what a great fishery we have in the Shell Beach area. Call United Charters now for your next fishing adventure 504-439-1680.
