Fishing on Big Lake has been excellent this week with the beach area near Johnson Bayou/Breakers producing lots of nice trout. Sand eels have been hot as trout have been feeding on ribbon fish. South bank, West Cove and Long Point have been hot as well as Turners. Birds have been working and bird activity is on increase. This weekend should produce lots of big trout if weather is decent. It should be a fun weekend on Lake Calcasieu.
