Finally some cool weather Trout at Shell Beach. Friday I had the Renshaw group of 3 from Atlanta. The cool boat ride sure was nice for a change, but it warmed up quickly making for a pretty day. Our first stop was where we found some birds diving where the tide was falling out a pass connecting two lagoons near Lake Robin. We had to weed through some throwbacks, but the keepers were really nice. The guys put near 60 on ice before the bite slowed down. They really wanted to catch some reds so off we went to a pond I like and it was on. Limited out on reds and must have caught and released 50+ more. Add in a bass, a drum, 4 sheepshead, and dozen more trout and the box was stuffed to the top. Great day of fishing with a fun group of guys.
I have this Tuesday and Wednesday open.
All fish in the Suzuki powered Blazer Bay 2400 were caught with Campo’s live shrimp on Capt. Rory's United Charters custom rods provided by CUI Products with Penn reels, spooled with Power Pro line. All fish removed and boxed with the one and only Just Grab it Glove.
The trout are moving into the marsh and that great fall fishing is here. This is some of the best inshore fishing of the year. Get your fall trips booked early before all the weekend and holiday dates fill up. Call now to book your trip of a lifetime. Overnight accommodations on the bayou are available.
