Finally some Trout. The weather of late has made finding Trout in all the rough dirty water tough. Friday was different. On board were Tom Flaherty, his brother Patrick, and friend Lee Hansen. They guys came down to the lodge for a couple of days of fishing fun. Day one for them turned out to be just that, a lot of fun. The winds were low, the seas flat and the fish were biting. We headed out into the Sound. We made 3 stops at different well heads and found Trout at each. Fishing with Bayou Chubs under a cork the guys put 60 nice Trout on ice. We made one more stop and fished with dead shrimp and added some Heads to the box along with several line stripping Reds that were too big to keep, but a lot of fun to fight. The guys had a great time and will be back at it today.
The weather is looking good for the next several days, and we have openings Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The fishing should be great.
