Good fishing turned back into the usual great fishing this week with Serengeti Fishing Charters out of Port Hardy. Limiting out on Springs (King) salmon and halibut has been the norm once again the past week. After an unusually slow previous week (averaging 4 Springs a day which isn't bad, this week picked up once again. Currently, we are running one boat out of the west coast of Vancouver Island, and one out of Port Hardy. Both sides are now producing. Pretty much everyday on the west coast the limits of Spring and Coho salmon are reached, as well as halibut and lingcod. It's some great fishing. Biggest to date is now 51lbs, with many in the low 40's and mid 30's being caught. The fish that are being caught are also scrappy, giving great fights and fighting like much bigger fish, a 25lbers caught yesterday fought like a 50lbs fish, leaving burn marks on one of our clients hands from all the line it took. It's great fun! Will add pictures of the big one as soon as our clients send it to us!
