As good as it gets on the Beach Saturday. Steve Casrino, Lance Elcorne, and Ryan Yeager were on board. It was a beautiful morning, nice and cool with no wind. After a stop by Campo's for some live shrimp we headed to Black Bay. We made one stop and put 100 nice Trout (16"-20") on ice by 9:30. The Trout were eating up the live shrimp under a cork, and also on the Bayou Chub and Gulp under a cork. When we got to this spot there was one boat in the area and before long I look out and here come 5 boats running right for us. They all come rushing up, out go the trolling motors and we were surrounded. Before long a couple more show up and 8 boats were around us. Who told them were I was? Thankfully they did not kill our bite, but they did manage to slow it down making us work for the last 20. We left the flotilla and headed to the marsh. Here we fished with shrimp on the bottom and when you would cast out to the middle it was and instant Puppy Drum. In minutes we put 20 in the boat, then turned around and cast to the bank and got on the Reds. It was a fantastic day on the water with a great group of guys. Total for the day was 100 Trout, 20 Puppy Drum, 13 Reds, 2 Flounder, and 1 Sheepshead. Summer maybe over and the temps are cooler, but the fishing is as hot as ever. Give us a call at 504-887-49601 or 504-881-9966. Why would you do anything but fish with the King, the guides with the 20 fish guarantee?
Capt. Rory
We could have caught more Reds, but where would we put them? With 100 Trout on the bottom, 20 Drum in front, and 13 Reds on top there was no more room. Besides it was time to get back and watch LSU.
