Four day report from the Beach. Capt. Jonathan and had the Russell Moffet group of 8 guys for 2 days of fishing, Jim, Leon, David, Tim, Steve, Richard, Todd. Both Tuesday and Wednesday the West wind made things tough. We covered a lot of ground Tuesday looking for decent water and fish. Wednesday the conditions were the similar and they had to be back to the dock early. The crew had a great time both days putting together a nice variety of fish. Total 160 Trout, 5 Reds, 12 Sheepshead, 1 Drum, 1 big Flounder, 1 Pompano, and 1 Mangrove Snapper.
Thursday Sean Early, his wife Janie, sons Ryan and Quinn, along with their friend Sean were on board. Thursday had to be the hottest day on the water so far this year. There was no wind or clouds at all. We got on a good Trout bite and everyone was having a great time putting Trout on ice fishing with Campo's shrimp under a cork. With 85 in the box, well on the way to their limits the heat was coming on strong. They said they had enough and it was their best fishing trip ever.
Friday I had part of the Bill Chamblee group from Dallas. We got a good Trout bite and limited out early. Once again Campo's live shrimp under a cork filled the box. Total 125 Trout. Capt. Frank also had a good day with limits for all. The group will be fishing with us for the next two days. The fishing remains great on the Beach. For charter info call (504)-881-9966 or (504)-887-4960.
