Ft. Lauderdale fishing Kings and Sailfish
Lots of school sized Kings and a few Sails showing up with the modest cool front on our Ft. Lauderdale fishing trips. Most of the Kings now are between 4 and 7 pounds. Pictured are two junior Marlin My Darlin anglers with a couple of Kings in that weight class. No really big ones but the bite has been good right out front in 90 to 120 feet of water. A few Sailfish mixed in with them as well. Trolling and live baiting getting roughly the same results on the Sails. They do love any wind out of the North and these fish are of decent size. Very soon we will begin to see the little guys in the spread. The little ones seldom "free jump" to give away their location. Big moon has a few Wahoo biting as well. Mahi out on the 51 line but the steady King bite along with the scattered Sails and chance still for a good Wahoo on this moon has us fishing inshore.
Really nice weather right now. Still warm mid afternoon but the mornings have been just a bit cooler. No rain! The wind picked up slightly today and will continue thru the weekend.
Nice clean blue water all the way inside the reefs here offshore of Ft. Lauderdale. Very little weed inshore thankfully. Very slight current right now and that has allowed us to fish the Snappers out in 300 feet.
Good comfortable fishing conditions and a reasonable bite as well. Tight lines, Chris, Rick, Brian and Tom
