Good forecast and decent fishing (2/19/2020)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The latest front has just passed through and we have put a pretty fair amount of rain thankfully behind us as this one was a pretty wet one but also a pretty mild one, barely moving the thermometer a few degrees. Warm and pleasant here again and the weather people say it is going to be a beautiful postcard worthy week with a quick rain and some wind coming in on friday and then a clear and sunny weekend.
Spotty action on fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale (2/01/2020)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The weather couldn't be much more perfect than it has been. The fishing is a continuation of our last report, far from perfect. Again some nice fish to be fought and enjoyed, but more slow moments on many days than anyone would like.

Good bite on Fort Lauderdale Fishing Trips (1/03/2020)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Deep Sea Fishing in Fort Lauderdale essentially quite strong for various species right now. Some pretty breezy weather is finally giving us a break, but the fish so very often love an onshore wind and fishing in Fort Lauderdale can very often pick up when that wind blows. Deep Sea Fishing in Fort Lauderdale essentially quite strong for various species right now.
Holiday Season fishing in Ft. Lauderdale (12/26/2019)

Mid December Ft. Lauderdale fishing report (12/20/2019)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Pleasant weather here in South Florida for our fishing trips in Ft. Lauderdale. Once again we find ourselves experiencing very mild weather as other parts of the country again get hammered. Northern parts of Florida have also gotten a bit hammered but the frontsĀ  have again lost most of of their horses as they reached us here in Broward County.
Good weather, good sea conditions, fluctuating catches (12/07/2019)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Fluctuating catches despite beautiful weather coupled with good current and clean water continue here on our fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale. Numbers of fish remain down but the possibility of catching a good sized fish on any charter is very real.
Deep Sea Fishing in Fort Lauderdale (12/14/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The windy and wet weather that has been making it's way down here to the formerly sunny south has finally reached us.
Deep Sea fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale (10/11/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] We have now run three Deep Sea fishing charters here in Fort Lauderdale within a couple of days either side of Hurricane Matthew.
Fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale (10/04/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Scattered rain most every day has actually knocked the edge off temperatures and hasn't been severe enough to force any cancellations of our fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale. The wind has finally begun to blow slightly and that further takes some of the heat away.
Fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale (9/25/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Our fishing charters here in Fort Lauderdale continue to provide good action for our anglers. Sea conditions have been less than three feet on most days and the rain has left us alone out over the ocean. Some storms occasionally inland but that doesn't affect us out here on the beach and offshore and it has been mostly very bright and warm once again with 90 being the high again today.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters (9/08/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Really strong fishing to report on our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters. As usual some rain possible on most any charter, but most are brief in duration. And a the small cool front has actually pushed the high for the day to just above 80 degrees with a slight northern breeze.
Fort Lauderdale deep sea fishing (8/30/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Near shore Fort Lauderdale deep sea fishing remains productive. There have been Wahoo, Sailfish and moderate to larger sized Sharks within two miles of the beach. The weather is of course warm and the breeze has become very slight. So it has been a bit sticky like most everywhere else but the ocean has basically been flat calm for days now with beautiful sunny skies.
Fishing charters Ft. Lauderdale Sailfish and Wahoo (8/20/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Our fishing charters here in Ft. Lauderdale have yielded some really nice fish and a Sailfish or Wahoo are a very real possibility and on our minds every time we clear the inlet. It has been a pretty good summer for both species and we have included a few photos of anglers and their fish, but this past week has been probably the best.. As in all fishing there are off days but overall the fishing has held quite a bit of action.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charter (8/11/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] A nice break in the temperatures today as the high was only in the mid 80s. The A/C units will be running strong tomorrow though as it is predicted to get to 90. The rains that have been on and off are forecast to disappear for the most part.
Ft Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing (7/12/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Both the fishing and weather patterns are now very much as expected for our July charters and Ft Lauderdale deep sea fishing on most days is providing some good action. When you live here you know that every day this time of year will hold the chance of a rain shower. I can recall numerous days when we had a brief shower or two even though the weatherman called for zero percent chance of one. But it has been pretty nice and all that comes with a south Florida summer day.
Fishing charters Ft Lauderdale area report (7/04/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The weather remains pleasant here with just enough showers offshore to take the edge off of some pretty warm days. Occasional heavy one, but this is Florida, and it is July, but many are short in duration and do knock several degrees off the top in very short order. A nice breeze has been blowing and that is nice after some very still mornings. Here's what has been going on on our fishing charters here in Ft. Lauderdale. We'll break it down by individual species this week.
Fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale late June (6/30/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Captains Matt and Capt. Kopper have had some good catches aboard the Marlin My Darlin on our recent fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale.
Deep Sea fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale (6/26/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Summer is certainly here with temperatures into the low 90s pretty much every day. Some choppy seas earlier in the week have calmed and we are enjoying comfortable conditions on our Deep Sea fishing charters. In Ft. Lauderdale we are fortunate to have deep water very close to shore so the ride out to the edge is short and we are often fishing very soon after leaving the dock.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charter report (6/12/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] This Fort Lauderdale fishing report is a positive one as Tropical Storm Colin has passed far to our west bringing plenty of rain to the west side of Florida and on into Georgia and above while we saw very little weather here on the SE side of Florida. I don't think we fully lived up to the Sunshine State moniker as we had plenty of clouds, but the bad weather was to our west, just west, but an inch is a good as a mile when it comes to these things. A near miss is still a miss.
Fort Lauderdale fishing report (6/01/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] As we say goodbye to the Memorial Day weekend and post this Fort Lauderdale fishing report we are experiencing some very nice weather with no rain and very little wind. Some rather ugly weather on Saturday morning thankfully left us as quickly as it arrived and the only rain the last two days has been out over the Everglades, which is typical of this time of year. Bone dry @ the beach.
Deep Sea fishing trips in Fort Lauderdale (5/19/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] It's hard to believe that summer is already upon us. Within a couple of weeks our Deep Sea fishing trips here in Fort Lauderdale will have a lot more young anglers as those kids get out of school and we welcome that enthusiasm the younger generation brings aboard. We see children now mainly on the weekends but any day of the week will soon work for most families. And yes we do have x-small life preservers for the littlest of anglers.
Fort Lauderdale fishing trips (5/14/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Our Fort Lauderdale fishing trips are once again providing good action for our charters. That last front was followed by the best weather of the year.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters (5/05/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The weather has been very nice here but a bit on the warm side again for our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters as it got up to 89 yesterday here (one degree off the record).
Fort Lauderdale fishing report (5/01/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] This Fort Lauderdale fishing report is once again a rosy one as we have continued to find Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo and Tuna out of our inlet. Most of our fish have come by trolling but we continue to do a bit of live baiting as well. Bottom fishing has been very consistent for large Amberjacks up to 60 pounds on the deep wrecks. Vermillion Snapper are biting well but are smaller with about a third of them going back over the side. Sailfishing has slowed with only occasional fish.
Fort Lauderdale sport fishing charter report (4/26/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] This Fort Lauderdale sport fishing charter report is once again a strong one. Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, and Wahoo have been biting and biting well. All within four miles from the shoreline.
Fort lauderdale fishing charters (4/19/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Fishing here has steadily improved for the last several days and our Ft. Lauderdale fishing charters are yielding some good catches. Pleasant weather and comfortable seas have been a plus as well.
Deep Sea fishing in Ft. Lauderdale (4/16/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] After several days of very low wind conditions we have had another late season cool front pass through the area. Thankfully there was little rain associated with this latest system and sea conditions remained decent and the slight drop in temperatures seem to have a good affect on our Deep Sea fishing trips here in Ft. Lauderdale. The wind is up a bit now but the ocean remains very fishable.
Deep Sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale (4/07/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The Deep Sea fishing here in Fort Lauderdale has been pretty steady on most days with some really nice fish hitting the fish box with good regularity. We continue to pick away at an occasional Sailfish both live baiting and also by trolling dead baits.
Fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale (3/29/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Well it is now certain that Old man Winter is on the way out the door. Today they are calling for a high of 87 and yesterday we had our first coastal thunderstorm complete with a really god light show from some serious lightning. Happy to see that pass.
Fort Lauderdale fishing trips (3/25/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Amazing what a little bit of cooler weather and a northeast breeze adds to the likely hood of better fishing (catching) on our Fort Lauderdale fishing trips. And better fishing results on our charters it is for sure. Several days in a row now of Sailfish offshore and biting here. Mahi-Mahi swimming to the south. Better chances for a fat Blackfin Tuna and if these fish are scattered the Golden tiles have been pretty consistent on the deep drops.
Fishing Charters in Ft. Lauderdale mid March (3/17/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] It's hard to grasp that we are already half way through March and our fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale are involving a bit extra sunscreen and bottled waters as it is into the 80s every day now. Where did Winter go and so quickly at that.
Fort Lauderdale fishing trips (3/07/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Our Lauderdale fishing trips and charters this past week have once again become an exercise in flexibility. We have managed some fun and successful days out on the water but if you have your sights set on something such as a Sailfish or any type of larger fish the pickings can be tough. We have managed a couple of Sailfish and Shark but we have been leaning toward different species on many days.
Deep Sea fishing Ft. Lauderdale (2/29/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The last frontal system has passed through and we are enjoying some beautiful weather here, and the Deep Sea fishing in Ft. Lauderdale has been showing more promise.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters (2/24/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The wind is back in the picture with this latest front and it has brought a little better bite to us on our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters!.... But once again a good day (5 Sails for Capt. Matt as an example) is soon followed by another struggle to get some fish in the box.
Deep Sea fishing charters Ft. Lauderdale (2/22/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] And so here comes yet another so/so report regarding our Deep Sea fishing charters here in Ft. Lauderdale. A good day of offshore fishing followed by a tough day that we have been mentioning in previous reports continues to be the case here. There have been days when fishing for Kings on the reef has been stone dead.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters (2/16/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Fishing continues to be all over the scale with a decent day once again followed by a tough day out on the water.
Fort Lauderdale offshore fishing (2/06/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] So here comes the next frontal system once again, and once again we are hoping for an uptick in the Fort Lauderdale offshore fishing fortunes as they continue to be erratic. Some reasonable catches of Mahi-Mahi and a few Sails but we are experiencing some slow days for sure. Again some Jacks and snappers biting with the light north current.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters report (1/28/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] This Fort Lauderdale fishing charter report has a few more bright spots but there continue to be a few bumps in the road.
Fishing in Fort Lauderdale (1/21/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] And here comes the cold, or at least what we refer to cold (55 last night / 65 tops today) and we are ready for it to kick the fishing in Fort Lauderdale fully into gear. As you can see by the pictures the fishing has improved.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters update (1/16/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Sorry once again to report that our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters are proving to have erratic catch rates. We are continuing to score some nice fish but every day is a new adventure but there are some tough days.
Deep Sea fishing Ft. Lauderdale with children (1/12/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Bringing your children along on a Deep Sea fishing trip here in Ft. Lauderdale can be great fun as long as the weather is reasonable. It's a short ride to deep water offshore here and if the seas are a bit too choppy for the kids we often fish inshore for Jacks, small Snappers, Barracudas and an occasional Shark.
Fort Lauderdale fishing trips erratic action (1/07/2016)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Erratic action. Not what anyone wants to hear but that is what has been happening offshore on our fort Lauderdale fishing trips. We pick away at them but the fishing is just plain erratic right now. As you can see by the picture(s) we have managed some nice fish but it can be a struggle for sure. Some sites only allow a single picture but you can see all the photos with a report on our Facebook page. Same rhetoric, just more pictures.
Fishing in Fort Lauderdale end of year report (12/29/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] As we wind down to the end of the year we wish to thank all of you who have spent some time fishing in Fort Lauderdale with us. We also want to make sure to wish a a Happy and Prosperous New Year wish to all our anglers and those of you who take the time to follow these reports and hopefully enjoy our limited grasp of the English language and find them helpful never the less. So here we go.
Fort Lauderdale fishing yields Bronze Whaler Shark (12/25/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Our Fort Lauderdale fishing trips continue to pick away at the Sailfish and Mahi-Mahi and that occasional Wahoo we have been mentioning. Still a bit of wind chopping it up and the sails are inside of 200 and the Mahi-Mahi there and shallower, once again IF you can find them.
Fort Lauderdale fishing report (12/23/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Mother nature is imposing her will upon us the last several days with scattered showers and a bit more wind than we would like (canceled our trips Sunday), but today and tomorrow are forecast to be more pleasant. It's not that the sun is absent as there are periods of clear skies, but the norm has been cloudy.
Fishing trips in Ft. Lauderdale (12/14/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The wind is once again up a blowing and has resulted in some good catches on our fishing trips here in Ft. Lauderdale. We are seeing good numbers of Mahi-Mahi along with Sailfish, Kings and some scattered Wahoo as well. Seems the day of fishing is very much tied in with the wind, and when it slows the catching backs off a bit. But we are seeing reasonable action with that uptick in bites when it begins to blow.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters report (12/10/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Well we got our wish for calmer seas as a result of less wind. Now the skies have literally opened up with record rain. Mother Nature is really on a run as of late. But we have managed to sneak out a few times and the catch has been decent, and hopefully this Fort Lauderdale fishing charter report will be helpful.
Fort Lauderdale fishing trips for Mahi-Mahi (12/02/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Mahi-Mahi have been the primary go to species and here in Fort Lauderdale fishing has been strong for these popular fish. Always a welcome fish for local fishermen and very often a requested species for visiting anglers as well. Pretty steady Sailfish action and some Kings are also biting.
Fort Lauderdale fishing charters (11/25/2015)
[Fort Lauderdale,FL] The wind is up again and the seas are up as well on our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters. A good bit of rain also with squalls passing through, but most of the rain has once again been luckily below us in Dade County.
