Fun day Sunday on the Beach. I had a group of guys that got together over at Huntnfish and booked a trip. They have known each other online, but never met. They finally put faces with the names. Onboard were Warren, Jim, Corey, Kevin, and his daughter Amanda. After a stop by Campo's for bait we headed for the Sound. There were a couple of storms out there so we stopped in the Machias area to see were the storm was moving. They were catching Trout under a cork with a few keepers, but mostly throwbacks. It did not take long for the clouds to move out of our way and to the Sound we went. Got on a good Trout bite right away fishing with live shrimp under a cork and with just a split shot. After putting 50 on ice the catfish took over so on we went. We made a few moves till we got on a good bite again. This time it did not end till limits were full and we left the still eating up. It was fun day of great fishing with a good bunch of guys. Everyone had a great time and Amanda sure taught those guys how good a fisherlady she is. Total catch was 150 Trout, 2 Reds, and 2 Sheepshead.
